Portillo's

My parents took us to dinner at this  Hot dog restuarant that is big in Illinois.. That opened in Moval... It was quite delish...I had a chili dog and split a side of fries with my mom... So if you are ever in MO VAL stop by Portillo's  and enjoy a hot dog or two... This took place sometime in september... I know bad blogger... And not blogging about it until now... oh well...

3rd times a charm... really it is!!!!

This was the 2nd time we attempted to go to disneyland and the first time we didnt even make it into the parking...which btw we were going to have to park at the Garden walk... The first attempt was made on 10/09/2009-Failed

then on 10/17/2009- we made it in only to not have time to wait in line or even wait for fast pass and we parked in Gardenwalk again... and we were bussed over... Not on a tram no bussed over... You know one of those nice coach busses... now that is the way to arrive in style....Now mind you by our third attempt which was that following wednesday (we thought it would be less crowded on a wednesday)

all this  to go on this make over of space mtn...

We got there and guess what the ride broke down... Yep, but fortunately we are Annual Passholders and we have experienced a breakdown of space before... so we waited about 20 mins and it was back up and running... and we didnt have to wait in too long of a line... we like that... This makes for One Happy Camper on Mr. Schultz's part... so, it finally happened and worked out in the end...

Flash Back Friday

Korie Girl Scouts Brownie 3rd grade i think... OMG... the pixie hair cut... this was My grandparents living room circa 1980 something... Funny I still have that sash... and the Council i am in now merged with the Long Beach Council... And it had to be around Halloween time... if not Halloween... My goodness...

My Birthday

We made it to DLAND ... And i spent my 72$ gift card... I bought a picture frame,a print and a book... Let me just say that the 24+ hours that i had been up for Mall Madness and the short time i slept that day was worth it... Look what my girls did...This was on the back of our poster board that needed our Troop #, the leaders name, Cell # and emergency contact info... Sneaky Girls...

Thankyou This is me on my 32nd birthday...

I then was serenaded to with others to a sweet rendition of Happy Birthday by the Dapper Dans...

It was all worthwhile to capture this picture... which is one of my new faves...This is our wallpaper/screensaver on our monitor right now...This is where i was on Birthday night...

Wow where did the time fly... I can not believe that i am 32 today....

Thats right i blogged my age... I am in total shock that denial hasnt even begun to set in yet... LOL

Thank you To all that helped my mom in the Beginning when she needed you all the most... And thank you for helping her and teaching me and wanting to get to know me in my infancy... Love to you all

FlashBack Friday

In honor of my 32nd Birthday Coming up on the 8th... I thought i would post a picture from my 1st birthday....Ok this is really Flashback here... This was my 1st birthday... Krista are you trying to get my cake... I put my baby goober on there... Jason you know you want to put your hands in there too... lol Surrounded by my cousins... Krista is 3 mos older and Jason is 6 days older... Jason was born on my Due date and he was 2 weeks late... Oh well what can you do... It was nice growing up with cousins the same age...

Fright Fest MAGIC MTN...

The day: 11th of October

started out like any other day... however this time we got up went to Universal Studios to buy our Horror nights tickets, then headed on over to Yes on over to Farrells i loved this place as a child... Would go to the one in the Whitwood mall parking lot... and we had one of these Hot fudge, spanish peanuts vanilla ice cream and whipcream with a cherry on top... YUMMY... Anyways they have one in Santa Clarita... (they are building one in Mission viejo which should be open soon) (if not open already)....

Matthew wasnt happy with all my picture taking already... Can you see the smug mug on his face that is a fake smile that you see before you...

We finally made it to our destination... with more than enough time to spare... i wasnt feeling well and so I sent Matthew on his merry way to go play and ride the rides and i hung out at the log flume ride area, where you can pay to soak people...

We finally went on colossus backwards which you ride in the old psyclone cars... It was very bumpy... so one of the only times you will be Matthew riding in the front is when it is the back...LOL Silly huh... that is almost a riddle isnt it...

Then Matthew went on Scream... I was recovering from the wonderful backwards colossus... I know i am a wimp arent i?This was the Lamest out of all the mazes... then we went here this was one of the best... Oh and why is it all the Mazes smell horrible... times Ten?This was us at the end of the night... The End...

Horror Nights Universal Studios

We tried something different this year we decided to go to Horror Nights on the actual holiday itself... We didnt know how busy or not busy it was going to be... No idea all the idiots (gangbangers and such) were going to be there... Oh and a certain group of line cutters...

Anyways I will get to that later in the story... We arrived at Universal studios where we went a different way into the entrance and to pay for parking... We paid 12$ for General parking and the way they were directing us i thought for sure they were going to make us park at the Universal Sheraton and then have to shuttle us in... No... I was dead wrong... We parked in the Frankenstein Parking garage... Yeah... Preferred parking at General Parking prices... BTW Preferred would have set us back 20$...We arrived and one of the first pictures i took was this one... we arrived at 5pm and would later have to wait about 1and a half hours to get into the park...

So as we were waiting and waiting we had the park attendant telling us the amazing and wonderfulness that layed ahead like for example the first 600 guests could get into the park early by a 1/2 hour if we go see the Rocky Horror Picture show tribute... and the show was like 20-25 mins and that would get us to the park with about 5 mins before anyone else... yeah we fell for it hook line and sinker... It was the most Craptastic thing i have seen... you would think they would have it down by Halloween.... C'mon guys, really?

First thing to do was to go on the horror tram... That is a hike in itself... boy what a work out... anyways this was the only photo i was able to get... since there is no flash photography... so as not to hurt and harm the little piggies... i mean cast members... really they were dressed up as pigs... Some of you all know this as the WHOville set  from the  Dr. Seuss movies... then we walked to and through the bates motel up to the hiking path where Jason was last year now it was My bloody valentine with the mining company set up and such then onto the physcho house... and then onto the War of the worlds set... and then back to the Tram...

This was part of what was going on on the upper deck near the entrance... why is it i think that Universal is so much larger than it really is? it is so small compared to the other parks in SO CAL amusement parks that is... Matthew wanted to get his picture next to this beauty... I had to wait for the "FOG" to die down a bit... Still a bit too much... Matthew doesnt like the way this picture turned out... I guess i cant blame him... So we went through the Chucky maze, and then the My Bloody Valentine maze and after that we went through the line for the Halloween Movies maze... Boy that line took forever... at least these lines kept moving...

After that we worked up an appetite... so we got our traditional Cinnebon and matthew got coffee and i got a hot cocoa... We sat for a few and then it was down to the bottom level for the SAW maze and the Jurassic Park after dark... yeah... we had some line cutters in both lines and would you believe it was the same people... where the hell was security? They were causing a raucus through out the park...

 Matthew told me not to get so mad cause they will get thiers... Picture to the Right is of Matthew in line for SAW... Keep moving that is all that we wanted... and then we went on The simpsons ride... which was quite nice...

however we had time for one more line i told matthew to go on it again and that i would sit this one out... which i did and i took a few good pics but i liked this one the best...It seemed like forever that he was in there... He finally came out and it was well past 2am the first time... so it was time to roll on out... we headed out and found our car... Easy enough to remember since we were on Frankenstein 2B... Got in the car... was ready to sleep, wanted to make sure that we got on the freeway ok first and then would you believe there was a multi car accident on the 101...

In the photo you can barely see the flashing lights... people literally got out of thier cars and checked it all out... why have a freakin party on the freeway... espicially in LA? C'mon people just not safe... And once it was cleared and they finally let us pass on by (which was a good hour after we first stopped) Whom do we see but the people causing the raucus with the line cutting and such... Oh they got thiers alright... in a very Tragic sad way... That is why we didnt get home till 4am -1 hour so 3am savings time... so excuse me if i am just a little tired :) I will blog about the importance of politeness and common courtesy at a later time...
